Schedule

    Guidelines
We have developed guidelines to help us stay on track and to hold a common set of expectations for these study sessions:

    • Meet in a conference room or classroom
    • Every Saturday 9-noon between class and taking the test (4 times)
    • Number of participants = 4
    • Use a spreadsheet to plan and track study plan
    • Consider weight of sections for time management
    • But dedicate most of meeting time to an even distribution of attention
    • Split up modules amongst participants
    • Each participant presents and listens in turn
    • Each presentation is 15 minutes
    • Include a 10-minute break
    • Focus on goal: To be prepared to take and pass PMP exam

Notes

Having completed our 3 scheduled meetings, we have witnessed several unique and helpful approaches to reviewing the material. This section presents electronic versions of some of our notes. Reasonable efforts have been made to assure that the information reflects the spirit and curriculum of PMI, but the reader must be responsible to resolve apparent discontinuity in favor or PMI.

One aspect of PMP exam preparation involves the understanding of how the project life cycle and project management knowledge areas interact with input/output deliverables and tools; each knowledge area below includes a link to a matrix that highlights some of the more prominent deliverables and tools. As available, other slidesets or study tools have been contributed and are made available here as well.
